Thanks for the comment Sila. I can absolutely relate to the idea of investing time in opportunities that you know won’t pan out. Looking for a new job is a terrible process. Putting your resume into black box after black box only to get auto-generated dismissals, if you’re lucky, is enough to kill any excitement you might have had over the whole process. Sometimes we need the positive reinforcement of some progress, even if deep down we know it’s not real progress, just to give us the energy to keep moving forward on that path. I agree, that’s part of being human. And it’s okay to be human sometimes.
