Thanks for the comment Jason. I agree that a community often ends up being invaluable to keep us adapting as we wander our way forward.

I’m sorry to hear of your experience with adversity leading to a sense of failure. I think this is something that we all need to deal with to a certain degree, although to admittedly different depths. The only advice I can offer is to keep taking those shots. And realize the consequences of falling short are rarely as bad as we worry they’ll be.

I also think there are many more potential mentors out there that never take up the role for the simple reason that they’re never asked. Most people do want to help. Don’t hesitate to reach out to someone you trust and respect.
